COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPHY

· Also known as evidence-based therapy, CBT considers that a behavior is learned. Therefore, when one identifies and learns to change thoughts, the behavior changes. Different psycho-educational techniques such as cognitive restructuring, assertive communication and problem-solving therapy are used. This therapy is often goal-based to reinforce such changes.
